We’re looking for a summer intern to join our Structure Performance team. Our team is responsible for the core mechanical architecture attributes of our vehicles, Safety, NVH, Solidity, and Durability, as well as Road Load Data (RLD) simulations. We operate mainly in the early stages of architecture development, from pre‑concept onward, where we define requirements, build concepts, and secure attribute performance. Within the RLD group, we work closely with both vehicle‑level and subsystem test setups and evaluations, contributing directly to how our vehicles are engineered to meet real‑world conditions.

As a summer intern, you will support the team by transforming raw vehicle measurement data into meaningful engineering insights. You’ll gain hands‑on experience with structural performance analysis, durability load interpretation, and early‑phase vehicle development, while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

What You'll Do:

Potential tasks, depending on project stage:

• Post‑process vehicle driving measurement data using engineering analysis tools.

• Characterize simplified full‑vehicle loading cases based on acceleration measurements collected during controlled driving maneuvers.

• Reduce load cases into representative blocks for use in durability evaluation workflows.

• Derive simplified wheel‑center load inputs and compare them against existing durability requirements.

• Collaborate with engineers in the RLD and attribute teams to validate findings and support concept‑stage decision making.

Who You Are:

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, at least in you 3rd year.

• Skilled in Python and MATLAB; beginner‑level knowledge in FEA and Adams is a plus.

• Strong analytical ability, with interest in structural loads and vehicle durability.

• Collaborative, prestigeless, and comfortable working with others in iterative engineering processes.

• Fluent in English; French is an advantage.

Internship Information

• Location: Gothenburg, Sweden. No relocation support is offered.

• Salary: Paid at a fixed hourly rate.

• Duration: You need to be available for a full-time internship for around 10 weeks. The period for the summer internship is between 1 June – 31 August. The start and end date are to be discussed with the recruiting manager.

• Requirements: You need to have a legal permit to live and work in Sweden.
