We’re looking for a summer intern to join our Concept Development team. Our team is at the forefront of innovation, creating the vehicles of tomorrow. We explore cutting-edge technology, market possibilities and bold ideas to develop mobility solutions on a global market.

With a versatile platform and the latest advancements in automation and electrification, we design vehicles for both private users and ride-hailing services—whether driven by humans or fully autonomous. This is where future mobility takes shape.

This summer, we are looking for passionate and forward-thinking individuals to join us. If you have a curious mindset, a strong technical interest, and a drive to innovate, this is your chance to gain hands-on experience and contribute to real-world vehicle development.

What You'll Do:

The Concept Development team together with Physical User Experience is exploring how to make future mobility more inclusive. In this project, you will help design a pilot seat concept that accommodates wheelchair users in shared, taxi, or autonomous vehicles.

• Develop a seat concept that is compatible with, or requires minimal adjustments to, existing vehicle designs.
• Work with existing user requirements and personas, including scenarios where a wheelchair user transfers into the seat or an electric wheelchair user is assisted.
• Conduct studies and benchmarking as needed to ensure the seat meets vehicle safety standards and provides same seating comfort as conventional seats.
• Ensure the final concept allows wheelchair users to easily enter and exit the vehicle with some, or minimal, assistance – while also allowing other passengers to easily move inside cabin.
• Final concept should also pay attention to the user’s sense of independence, privacy and integrity/dignity throughout the design.

Who You Are:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (B.Sc or M.Sc) in Mechanical Engineering or Design and Product Development.
• Have completed relevant courses in ergonomics/user-friendly development, vehicle development.
• Skills in Catia or other CAD software.

Internship Information

• Location: Gothenburg, Sweden. No relocation support is offered.
• Salary: Paid at a fixed hourly rate.
• Duration: You need to be available for a full-time internship. The period for the summer internship is between 1 June – 31 August. The start and end date are to be discussed with the recruiting manager.
• Requirements: You need to have a legal permit to live and work in Sweden.
